Cyanide’s Calamity Release Update

This isn't a post I wanted to make. I hate making ones like this because I'm letting people down and I don't like doing that. Unfortunately, it can't be helped.

Over the next few days, I will be cancelling the preorder for Cyanide's Calamity for November. The story just isn't where I want it to be and I can't in good conscience release something I'm not happy with because I rush it.

What does this mean?

It means that while I don't have an exact date as of yet, it will release sometime in 2027. Hopefully, at the beginning of the year, but I won't make any promises. The characters are being stubborn and are not cooperating with me. I'll keep everyone updated as much as possible with Cyanide's progress and when I'm satisfied with him, I'll do a live release.

Being transparent, this year has been difficult writing-wise. I can't seem to find motivation to write when my characters aren't really speaking to me. If I do force myself to write, the story doesn't feel authentic and I find myself deleting everything. I do believe I'm feeling the beginning of burnout and it scares me. This is my passion. It's what I love doing.
